For me, one essential to traveling in style is staying healthy -- so I never leave home without Emergen-C. It prevents dehydration on airplanes, when very active, or in hot regions, and the big hit of vitamin C plus B vitamins helps boost your immune system and relieve stress. I also like to travel with long skirts -- they make wacky bathroom arrangements less daunting and are acceptable more places than pants are (for example, in Bali, where even my male guide couldn't go into some temples because he was wearing pants). Two skirts and five tops, and I can stay on the road almost indefinitely.
